Martin Solem
Martin Solem is a Norwegian designer, based in Copenhagen. Because of his fascination for Danish design, he moved to Denmark to explore. After working for Rud. Rasmussen, he studied design at The Royal Danish Design School. He was involved in projects with Capellini and Bernhardt Design and participated in exhibitions in Paris, London and Oslo. Now he works on solo design projects besides working as Head of Product Development – Furniture at HAY. Martin believes good design has to be realistic and useful. You can recognize his designs by the functional and timeless look. For HAY, he designed Kofi side table.
