Chris Kabel is a Dutch designer based in Rotterdam. After graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2001, he moved to Rotterdam in 2002 to start his own design studio. Kabel is known for his fascination with materials and natural phenomena, which he combines with an analytical approach to designing objects and furniture. He collaborates with numerous international clients and has various works featured in the permanent collections of leading galleries and museums. His talent has been recognised with several design awards. For HAY, Chris Kabel designed the Wire Candleholder.
