Kristine Five Melvaer
The Norwegian designer Kristine Five Melvær designs tableware, lighting, furniture, graphics and textile objects. She has a master’s degree in Industrial Design from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design in the pocket and also holds a master’s degree in Visual Communication from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. While designing she pays a lot of attention to the communicative potential of objects to create emotional bonds between object and user. She has received many international recognition and won a number of awards for her work. For HAY, Melvær designed the Juice Vase.
