The Crate collection, originally designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1934, has been reintroduced by HAY in collaboration with Rietveld Originals. The Crate Lounge Chair preserves the essence of the original design, featuring a low seat, angled backrest, and armrests for a balanced combination of comfort and support. Crafted from solid pine with a water-based finish, the chair is designed for outdoor use and is available in a range of colours. Optional seat cushions can be added for added comfort.

Gerrit Rietveld

Gerrit Rietveld was a Dutch furniture designer and architect who is best known for his contributions to the De Stijl art movement.
